Ok with less than 7 days to go, I am asking myself why did I make this decision to cycle to Paris? So many of you guys out there have been amazingly generous with your donations, I'm overwhelmed. This started out as a bit of a giggle: now the time is nearly here and I can't believe that in a few days time, I'll be with a fantastic crowd of likeminded individuals who have all raised a huge amount of money for Above+Beyond. Let's go out and love every minute........... oh and be patient with the poor old croc at the back!
For those that know me, you can confirm I am not fit, so please do not chuckle at this uncharacteristic occurrence; for those that don't know me well, I was looking for a challenge. After sitting talking about doing something exciting for the last 3 yeas I have now taken the gauntlet to cycle from Bristol to Paris in April 2017. Mad yes. Excited definitely. Scared most certainly but I know I can achieve it for a worthy cause. Talking about doing things but never actually managing to get off my backside stops here now! I'm going to do it!
All money raised through this challenge will go to the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children's Major Trauma and Rehabilitation Unit. Your donation will benefit hundreds of children from across the South West suffering from traumatic brain injuries, brain tumors, epilepsy and cerebral palsy. Each year over 40,000 children in the UK are admitted to hospital with severe brain injuries but that's only the beginning of their journey to recovery. the long-term emotional and physical impact takes time to heal and for hospital can become a home for months and for some even years. That is why I have joined this challenge to help raise £100,000 for this cause. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Above & Beyond, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
